What is Alumni Weekend? Alumni Weekend is an all-inclusive weekend for alumni of Slippery Rock University. All alumni are welcome to return to campus and join in the festivities. In addition, there will be a focus on bringing multiple reunion groups to campus during this weekend.
Who can attend Alumni Weekend? Alumni Weekend is open to all SRU alumni and their guests. There will be events celebrating milestone reunions and additional affinity reunions, but a majority of the events throughout the weekend are for ALL alumni.
Which classes are celebrating reunions during Alumni Weekend? In 2024, alumni from undergraduate class years ending in 4's and 9's will celebrate milestone reunions. All alumni are welcome to attend to celebrate.
How do I register for Alumni Weekend? Registration for Alumni Weekend is done online. If requested, we can mail you a paper form for registration or help you to register over the phone.
How much does it cost to attend Alumni Weekend? It depends! Many events are free of charge, but events that include food and beverage or supplies will be charged per person. Alumni Association members receive a discount on events.
Can I make a change to my registration after it has been finalized? To change your registration, contact the Alumni Office at [email protected] or 1-800-GET-ROCK.
How will I know that my registration is confirmed? If you register online, your reservation will be confirmed by email. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact the Alumni Office. I need to cancel my registration; can I get a refund? Refund requests received on or before May 31 will be accepted. What is the registration deadline? The last day to register online is May 31, 2024. Most events allow walk-ins, but some of our events have a limited number of spots available. To ensure you can attend the programs you are interested in, try to register prior to the deadline.
I’m not sure of my schedule yet for June. Can I just decide to attend Alumni Weekend events the day of? Yes! We do prefer to know before May 31 so we can be best prepared, though we understand our alumni are busy people – and we want to see you during Alumni Weekend. There are several events that require no registration, and the other events can accommodate some walk-in registrations at the events.
Can faculty and staff attend Alumni Weekend? Yes! We hope many members of Slippery Rock’s faculty and staff attend Alumni Weekend!
Can children attend Alumni Weekend? Yes! Children are welcome to attend Alumni Weekend. There are many events and activities that are kid-friendly. Children must be registered for events that require payment.
I want to register for myself and five friends. Can I do that? Yes. You may register guests on a single registration form.
Do I need to go to Alumni Registration? Yes! At Alumni Registration, you will receive a welcome gift and valuable information regarding events on campus and any associated entry tickets for the events. Stop by before attending your first registered Alumni Weekend event.

Do I receive tickets for Alumni Weekend events? You will not receive tickets in the mail or email for Alumni Weekend events. Alumni who registered in advance for events will receive their tickets in their Alumni Weekend packets.
You should plan to stop by the Alumni Registration at the Alumni House before your first event.
Where do I park while I am on campus? Parking is available in all surface lots during Alumni Weekend.
What should I wear to Alumni Weekend? For most Alumni Weekend events alumni, family, and friends dress casually and when appropriate, for the weather. Of course, Rock gear is always appreciated!
What should I bring with me? Photos of family and friends, memorabilia from your college years, a camera, a cell phone, an umbrella, and anything else you may need to make your visit to campus more enjoyable.
Where can I stay during Alumni Weekend? Alumni have the option of staying on campus in Watson Hall, at the campground or at one of our local hotels. Advanced registrations are required. Visit www.rockalumnievents.com/alumniweekendlodging for detailed information.
What is provided when staying on campus? On campus accommodations are very basic. Please remember that on campus housing is in the residential suites. You will need your own pillow.
